The monster blankie is done!
This project was the inspiration for The Monster Over the Bed, which was the inspiration in turn for Legacy.
I’ve been working on it steadily since October, which is some sort of record for me. (Not how long it took, but how steadily I worked on it – normally a project like this would take me years, in fits and starts.)
And I love it. This one is destined for a beautiful baby girl named Olivia Linda, but I might make more blankets… and hats… and scarves… There are all sorts of cozy things that could be even better with the incorporation of a loving monster dedicated to providing warmth, comfort, and protection.
The tentacles and background were knit intarsia-style in the round, while I embroidered the eye on afterwards.
What do you think? Should I make more?

And while we’re on the topic of knitting, I love this baby blanket and owl hat set!
Awesome, you finished it! It looks great.
Thank you!
Make more? YES!
there are lots of geeks who would appreciate gifts like this.
If Randy and I have kids, we would love receiving monster infused knitting.
Yay for real-life Blanket of Monster Eating +1!
Yay!
